    BIIAB Physical Intervention Training

The BIIAB has recognised the importance of physical intervention training and together with Maybo, the conflict management specialists, accredited this Physical Intervention Programme. COI-Freelance Ltd is delighted to be one of the first companies in the country to be able to offer this brand new programme and is committed to providing excellent training to the security and hospitality industries. For more information on this BIIAB Physical Intervention Training Course click here.

Training is only! open to candidates who hold a valid SIA Front Line Door Supervisor licence, candidates who have qualified for the SIA Front Line Door Supervisor licence, or hold just Unit 2 of the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors (or equivalent), or the BIIAB Award in Conflict Management.

BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors

This is a four-day course comprising two units. Each unit comprises 16 learning hours including a multiple-choice examination. Students must attend all four days. In order to gain the qualification and be able to apply for a SIA licence, students must pass both examinations.

This award is designed for those wishing to start work as a door supervisor / bouncer in the industry; and is awarded to those who pass two examinations covering the basic knowledge and responsibilities of the occupation.

This nationally recognised qualification is the industry standard and will enable a door supervisor to apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for a SIA licence to work as a Door Supervisor. It is illegal to work in this country as a door supervisor or bouncer without an SIA licence. The fines for working as a Door Supervisor without an SIA licence are severe. You can be fined up to £5,000.00 and receive up to six months in prison. This can also apply to the company you are working for, and the venue at which you are caught working.

However, once you hold a SIA Front-Line Door Supervisor Licence you can work as a Security Guard as well as a Door Supervisor.

Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Security Operations

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Security Operations has been designed to meet the training needs of security guards who are employed by large and small companies and operators in the security-guarding sector. This is a four-day course comprising two units.

This nationally recognised qualification is the industry standard and will enable you to apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for a licence to work in Security Guarding.
